mack snow leo climbing

I was told leopard geckos cant climb flat surfsces but i Just got a mack snow jungle leopard gecko tonight & this little bugger is climbing the walls! Shes 4 mns old & is in a 2ft x2ft wood enclosure. The wood is smooth so I dont know how she can climb it. Or can this particular morph climb flat surfaces? My other leos are in enclosures with the same type wood & not one has climbed it. Thanks, crystal

I would imagine that the surface is somehow rough enough for her to get her little toenails into it.

I guess its the jungle in her. LOL I have some fake reptile vines in there (low to the ground incase they would fall off) for decoration. She climbed on one of the leaves & thats where she was sleeping when I went to bed at 12:30 lastnight. This mornin shes in one of the hides. Ill keep an eye on them. Thanks, crystal

It doesn't take much for geckos to get their nails in there and pull themselves up
