Mad at the spray bottle

So just when I thought I had her figured out my leo has developed an objection to the spray bottle I use to mist her moist hide. She was out skulking about in the tank when I misted the hide this morning and apparently the sound of the sprayer is objectionable to her delicate sensibilities.:main_rolleyes:

She's a scrawny little thing only about 4-5 inches long, and the spray bottle is actually bigger than her - I couldn't help laughing.

It probably sounds like a snake or something to them. What does she do, snap at you or hiss? Mine don't seem to react to it, but I always wondered if it bothered leos.

She must think it's a snake or another leo hissing, because she puffs up as big as she can and hisses at it (protesting mightily from between two hides where she thinks I can't get her).

The first time I didn't see her sneaking up on the bottle - she lunged at it and wound up getting a face full of water, so I think the bottle is not exactly on her list of favorite things in the universe

they object to is getting misted down along with the humid hide.....
....That's what I had to do to get two males unlocked from a death grip
......Do them a favor, mist out side the tank
or practice your aim..........take care. HJ
