Magnetic rock

Cool to hear that Mo has moved in. My boys love checking in on Hidey. So far they are listening & having mom or dad remove the rock. I made it real clear to them what could happen if they squish any of Hidey's parts putting the front back on.

That's what I was worried about the first time I saw them in the petstore. That is why I asked earlier about the bottom being flat, or if it moves at all when you take the outter half off.

My rock does move ever so slightly because the base of my tank has a lip on it on the outside. You could eliminate any movement with a little moss or paper towel.

cheap viewable hides

I use cheap-o food storage containers decorated and cut in half (my wifes idea) then place the open end to the tank side. and it's viewable!
i could post pics in housing of my tanks (we mounted them on the wall with scrap lumber and old shelves last night!

The kids always check the magnet hide when we get home in the evening. Tonight when we opened it up, we got a surprise :main_thumbsup: Mo must be telling her homies about her wicked new hangout (and I obviously am going to need to upgrade to a larger one of these since Mo and Ojai are babies) ...
