You may already know about them but just incase you don't there going by the name BLACK PEARL they bare a stricking resemblance to your BLACK VELVET they maywell be the same genetically but who knows. From what i can make out they are in mainland Europe so maybe you can sort somthing out with the breeder to get new blood widen the genepool'etc and benifit both partys.

Yea, they definitely are pretty crazy. At first, they looked like a different species, but then I looked closer and saw that they werent.

Those are cool looking! Little bit darker that Lotta`s "Blackie" tho`. Wow.

If you look at the adult pictures i think they look about the same shade as blackie the really dark pictures are the baby/younger pictures of them and maybe a little over exposed and possible giving a false view on how dark they are.In the pictures at the bottom of the page in the link there are 6 pictures but look only to be 3 leo.

Well...this is old news. We had this question 6 month ago and i have been in contact with Conrad. He has no black ones for sale, I'm waiting. He offered me normal looking offsprings, but at this moment onoe of us (Conrad or me)know the genetics behind the black ones and i got +15 BV-offsprings, some normal looking, some darker and a few black, so I prefere a black male at the moment.
But the best is that both Conrad and I can do outcrosses to keep health lines. That's very good!

It's very easy to manipulate the pics to make BV or BP look even darker then they are. And that is very sad. They are so beautiful in their true colors. i want to show my darlings in different lights to show this; day ligt, lamp, flash and so on. Even in photoshop it's very easy to cange to deepness and make the balck color more intensive. I try to show the blackness with a normal sibling next to it, just to show it's the true colors. I also gonna name every one so you can follow them and learn to know them.
