my brother when on vacation for 2 week and left me to take care of his geckos.. i don't know his username and pass so i had to make a whole new account. anyway, the male gecko started to shake his tail and bite the female neck.. i know this is part of the mating process. But the male get pretty violent and clamp down on her tail pretty hard.. to the point the female bite him back to get him to let go. I obviously separate them.. i just wanna know how long do i need to keep them separate? any tip on what i should do ?

Since they were your brother's geckos, how about keep them separate till he comes back?

i doubt he'll know what to do with them either. Is there a certain month that get him acting up like this ? or.. they should be keep apart permanently.

If you think your brother won't know what to do with the male and female either, then I suspect he's not in any position to breed geckos. Separating them is a good idea.
