I have a male MSTA that i have with a LBS female right now. When i first put them together he was interested and i believe they hooked up not sure but now he inst interested at all in her or another female i tried to introduce him to. He has been in the same cage with the LBS for a few months will this make him not want or not interested in mating?

Do you know for sure the other female is ovulating? If I can make a suggestion, don't leave the male with the female for that long. The reason I say this is...

1. You don't know if they indeed breed.
2. Its harder to tell who is eating and isn't.
3. By keeping them together 24 hours a day for a month or months increases stress on both of them.
4.Stress kills!

Females will seek out males during breeding season. By keeping them together will cause undue stress. Your male might be stressed out or the other female isn't ovulating.

The most likely problem is that the female isn't ovulating. It's very early in the breeding season. Some people prefer to keep their geckos housed individually. I actually keep my males and females together during breeding season (Jan.-Oct.) with no problems. Everyone continues to gain weight, except for some males that get too excited and everyone stays healthy. It is the case, though, that once the males have been in with the females for a few months, they lose interest, and my males are generally not trying to mate with the females after July or so. Sometimes they get interested again if a new females comes along. Maybe you should separate them for a few weeks and then try again.
