That just made it even harder. Your not at all worried that your leo(s) will drop their tails by you holding them like that? The first time I was going to check to sex my leos people warned my agaisnt lifting up their tails. Your probaly being very gentle, of course.

I'm stuck between male and female on my leo... No pores show so thinking female...but the bulges are very noticable..so male...ahh.. I need help..lol

Sorry I wasnt trying to make it harder...just trying to show the first 2 geckos are young 5months, and older..1 1/2 year and both show pores well. Then the bottom gecko. A female doesnt show pores as strongly but does have the buldges..You cant gauge from the buldges they are a small indicator so to speak. If the gecko has what appears to be HOLES where the pores are its male. If it has dents with no small holes I say its a female. From your pic it looks female to me.
And yes I was being gentle lol..Ive handled the leos for along time..only drop tail I have EVER had was dropped when a hatchling was coming out of the egg.

oh, lol. Did you pick the gecko up that was coming out of an egg, or did it just drop by itself? Just wondering o_O

So do all males get noticeable pores at one time or another?

The geckos tail was stuck in the egg so it dropped it to get out Im guessing..i came home and had a tailess gecko in my incubator..was kinda sad but he did fine lol
All males do get noticable pores at around a year old...some VERY noticable.

Well that means...it's either a female, or a male thats younger than I previously thought. It's not that the pic doesn't show it, even in reality you can't really pinpoint any pores...
