Why are you breeding again? You should be extremely well prepared before even attempting it.

And, how long have you been keeping leos?

1. Why is this male with this female?
2. NO, this is not OK.
3. What do you mean you "Dont know"?
4. Why are you breeding at all when you obviously don't know what you are doing?
5. What are your plans for the offspring?
6. :main_huh:

By now you may have gotten the idea that putting a male with a female that had already become gravid with another male's eggs and at least seeming not to know what the whole situation is, was not the best thing to do.

To answer your original question - when a male and female are kept together the male may attempt to mate at any time. It doesn't hurt the female unless she tries to resist him and he bites her so hard that he cuts her up. My male and female groups are kept together the whole season and the males generally mate with the females whenever they'll permit, though by now they're bored with the whole thing so mating is pretty much over.

To answer what you didn't ask (and are getting a lot of feedback about) in a somewhat kinder way: from what you posted, it seems as if you don't have much information about the whole breeding process and what it entails. Although there are times when it makes sense to introduce a female to a second male (I've done it myself), it's usually done with a lot of forethought and for specific reasons (I think the "I don't know" has set some people off). You may want to supply more info to give us a better idea of your experience and plans if we have gotten the wrong idea, or possibly just kind of put up with it and learn from possible mistakes if we don't have the wrong idea.

I'm gonna take a "pass" on this one. This person is 11 years old and is so NOT ready for breeding that it sickens me that her parents even allow for this to happen. I guarantee you that she has no hatchling rack suitable for babies and has no idea what she is getting into. I feel for the babies already. In a previous post she asked "does anyone want the babies when they hatch?" ARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!! Yeah, I'll stop now before I really get going. CLUELESS!

Okay, so not to be offensive or anything, but where is your mother and why is she letting you breed geckos?
There has to be a "responsible" adult somewhere?

I think it is good that you are as curious as you are, and that you're researching and stuff, but you really don't seem to be handling the breeding well. I think a lot of forum members would like to hear from your mom.
