Man with reptiles charged with animal cruelty in FL

TAMPA, Fla. -- A Tampa man faces animal cruelty charges after investigators found dozens of dead and dying reptiles at his home.

Police arrested 29-year-old Winston Tsai on Tuesday.

Hillsborough County Animal Services says officers found snakes, lizards, spiders and two underweight hybrid wolves in the apartment. The surviving animals will be treated and turned over to rescue groups for adoption.

Police were notified of the animals by a neighbor, who said the smell from Tsai's apartment would fill the landing outside.

Tsai was charged Tuesday with three felony counts of animal cruelty. He was later released on $6,000 bail

thats horrible how can a person do that to these beautful animals and get away with it to think 6k bail isnt that much and he will probly move and do it all over againhe will just get a slap on the wrist that all that ever happens in these cases wich is ridiculous cuz if he is neglecting a reptile and it dies murder is still murder in my eyes he should be punished the same way he treated the reptiles that he was taking care of

He absolutely will. He's a member of other popular reptile communities. One of the reasons that I posted this. Hopefully we can get the word around, esp. for those of us here in Florida.

would be good if someone can find out what his username is on the reptile communities so people know who he is. dont know how people can be so horrible toward their animals because i would never do so mine are so spoiled its not funny.
