Here's an updated pic of the little gecko in our current avatar. Changing dramatically by the day now. She's super friendly and a great eater so she's growing fast!

This guy looks cool but one question I have is what makes the mandarin tangerines different from other types of tangerine lines? The only reason I ask is that it seems everyone and their brother is coming out with their own tangerine line and just like to know what makes each one different then the previous.

I wouldn't necessarily say it is a "new line". There's a fine line there! If Mandarin is the direct father then they are "Mandarins". He is a very unique Tang and is a combo of many different lines....Jason Haygood from Gecko Genetics started that line by combining other Tang lines, and we continued to refine it till we were able to produce Mandarin. His orange bands are the brightest we've seen...really amazing in person, and he's holding that color into adulthood. This pic will be in the next issue of Reptiles magazine....a special "geckos" addition, which should be a great issue for folks here to grab.

Beautiful Ray. Mandarin is literally a poster gecko for how Tang's should look. I think people get confused on how you name your geckos….Zorro Bandits, Mandarin Tangerines, etc…. It's just a way to let people know that the geckos come from a certain pairing. It's not that you are "creating" or "naming" new lines, it's just a cool way to differentiate between other Bandit's and Tang's. Thanks for posting these amazing geckos.

So I take it that for those who breed your mandarin tangerine or zorro bandits can't call them such since they are not directly fathered by Mandarin or Zorro? Is it only the F1's that can be called such?
