Hey guys, I’ve had my gecko Blaze for around a year and a half now. I became real interested in the genetics behind the different morphs and how all of that stuff works. I think it’s really cool now that I fully understand how it works. But anyways, up until a few days ago I always thought Blaze was a super snow blizzard morph until I took a better look at the sticker that came on the little tub he came in. The sticker says super snow blizzard/ leucistic. I previously thought leucistic was just another term for blizzard or something. However, now I know that murphy patternless geckos used to be called leucistic until the blizzard morph came out around the year 2000. So that really threw me off on what Blaze really is. I know on juvenile murphy patternless geckos there are those blotches on the upper body and head until they grow older and they will disappear. So I brought up some pic’s that I took of him as a juvenile, and I think I see them. So this kinda leads me to believe he is a super snow blizzard murphy patternless. I will post some pic’s of what I’m trying to get at so maybe it will make some sense. Thanks guys I definitely appreciate everyone’s feedback!
