mdf for rack?

i have a ton of mdf board from sub boxes i was building and cant find x pvc sheets or suppliers anywhere around me. would it be ok to use mdf board for the rack?

thats what I used for mine. They're heavy but they do the job. I would just make sure you coat them with something or don't get them wet.

ehh, i ended going to the depot to look one more time for x pvc and ended up buying a sheet of 4 x 8 melamine...looks like im going to pull an all niter. but i still might end up making it out of mdf for a hatchling rack...

I have used mdf for my rack. It is an easy material to work with. Your Melamine will just look better, and be easier to clean.
