I am starting to breed my own meal worms. I am wondering if there is any critter that loves to eat the meal worm beetles. I just hate for them to go to waste. LOL

Probably the same critters that eat the larvae. I looked some information up, and it said basically the same animals eat both. However, it is more common of adult leopard geckos to eat them than other reptiles. Hope this helped. Good luck.

Just curious, if you are raising your own meal worms,
why would you want to feed the stage that is laying the eggs?..................
anyway most geckos would have to
really be denied food to desire the beetle.
Take care. HJ

I just had to throw some out, too. I haven't been able to get anyone to eat them. I know for me, I've just got way too many right now. I've been getting about 200+ new ones a day and it's just too much. I ended up throwing out a few hundred yesterday.

Well, I know my fire skink eats the pupae (which is nasty, lol). She seems to like it though. I haven't tried feedering her the beetles. They would not stay in her dish for her to find them, and she is lazy when it comes to chasing things. Haha

My geckos, particularly Morgan, absolutely LOVES the pupas. They're her favorite and she's chosen them over waxies many times! If I find I'm going to have too many beatles soon, I just feed some of the pupas to her.

Felix crunched down on a beetle once. He spit it back out and then looked at me with this look like I'd just betrayed him. It made me feel so guilty for even trying lol

Newton does not like the beetles, and i think he is kinda scared of them. Last time i went away for the weekend, i loaded her ish up with mealies like i usually do if i will be gone for a while, and some of them must have been really close to pupating, because i came back and there were a few beetles. If one walked past her, she would almost jump out of the way
