How old is she? I was told that sometimes it is simply a matter of preference. Mine is a couple weeks old and will only eat crickets. I have had mealworls in the tank every day and he has not touched one.

It's always good to give them a variety anyways, I have a couple that don't like mealworms and I have some they don't like crickets! Sometimes like people they don't like certain foods ;)

Everyone is different, my leos all love mealies and cricks, but my male AFT wont touch mealies. I also reccomend and prefer to feed a variety but mealies are fine as a staple. If you want to add a little variety once in awhile as a treat, you could feed wax worms or silkworms.

if ye can get them...

feed a few hoppers every month (approx 5 every 2 week!)...leo walks over the crick's to get the hoppers here!...so alway leave a thin slice of carrot for the cricks to feed on while leo sleeps of the hopper!...:D

my AFT eats mealies and the occasional cricket for some reason, he is the opposite of most AFT's, most AFT will only ear crix and wont touch mealies.......but i got a WEIRD little guy and he likes his mealies more. (which is good, cuz crix are a pain in the butt, lol) but then again last week he wouldnt touch mealies and ate crix.......he is weird, one week its mealies only and the next its crix. he is a tough one to feed, because if its not the one he wants he wont eat.

Hoppers?, you mean hopper mice?. If so thats not a good idea, some people feed pinkies but only as a treat, defently not good to feed often because they are fattening. Leos are insectivores and tend to have a hard time digesting them.

My gecko's were all raised on crickets AND mealies. But now, they finally have a good life, they chose mealies over crix. My male gogo, after a while of only crix with us, would just smack or bite the crix, so they looked totally normal, but they were really sitting there dead. Im always catching all 3 of my geckos dipping their head in the mealies bowl, so i know they dont hate mealies. Really i could understand the hate for crix, seeing as petco and other pet stores just leave the crix in there 24/7 and drive the leo's cooky.
