Mealworm Beetles

Ok Guys,

I have started breeding mealworms for my geckos so here is my guestion.

Can you tell which beetle is the male and which is the female?

from my experiences, no.

I guess if you catch them mating, the one on the top is male.

there is a size difference. i believe females are larger. i dont know of any way to be 100% sure though.

there is really not much to see, unless you watch them mate however. i dont see much of a change *pairing up males to female* if there with each other. trust me you will get mealworms ( ;
