I thought that Mealworms could be good for my Jackie but I'm wrong. I fed her for about 8 month, the problem, she only poop other 5 days or longer and started to lose fat from her tail. Last month I fed her crickets, she pooped surpisly. Then next day, she pooped and other again. So I think i'll have my Jackie on Crickets. I heard that Mealworms have hard shells and hard to disgest. So that's why my jackie have thin tail. :( But I'll keep eye on Jackie when come feeding crickets. For example. I drop one cricket in tank, if she eat it, i give her another one. Get it? Just letting you know. But I still breed mealworms for treats to Rat and Jackie. So anyone had this problem before?

Oh! in another thead I'm not sure if you read this. I'll be getting MHR as pet and to breed for my Jackie.

Is that safe? I dont want to buy other 5 dollar for 2 dozen crickets. -_- but it's sake for my Jackie.

Different geckos do better on different feeders. It's good you discovered this about your gecko even though it means you have to feed crickets or roaches.

Yes! It was stressing sitiuation for me. I had to pay 13 for cricket card to get those. -_- Oh! well, Did you know this specie Princisia Vanwaerbecki? I wanted to make sure if they can live with MHR?

I recently had the similiar thing happen, after a few month of eating mealworms, our gecko seemed to slow down eating quite a bit, about 3 days ago I tossed 2 crickets in the tank, came back a few hours later and they were gone. Tossed a few more in and I noticed she was having problems catching the crickets. I took the back legs off, tossed in 3, came back a few hours later and they were gone. Everytime I put crickets in, she eats all that are in the tank. How many crickets per day should I put in the tank with her. she is about 3-4 months old right now.

Just dont toss legless crickets without supervision. I think i probably fed my jackie when she was baby. 5 or 6 meduim crickets. 2 or 3 normal sized mealworms. sometimes i fed my jackie(baby) one or 2 large crickets. hope this helps.

Right now my jackie is about 11 month old and soon to be 1 year old on july 17. :)
