You can use both, or one or the other.. Both are fine just as long as they are the proper size, gutloaded and dusted before feeding.

Personally I don't like Crickets they stink and are just plan annoying. You can't leave them in a nice little dish like mealworms. Crickets have to be taken out after like 10-15mins if your leo doesn't eat them because they start to become annoying and pester the gecko.

A lot of ppl. feed roaches, super worms and phoenix worms.

I was thinking about trying superworms. See, I own a frog so I have a lot of crickets, and my mealworms are for the gecko, though she did have a solid cricket diet while there was a shortage of mealies. She seems to prefer mealies since they are easier to catch.

Yeah well thats the great thing about geckos theres a variety on what you could feed them but if you have to picky gecko your kind of suck, Lol.. They a varied diet is best! I've also been reading that Silkworms and Roaches are better darn good feeder! If she likes them then feed them it's better for her.

Cricket or mealworms

Both as variety is the spice of life.

I feed my juvi Crickets and leave some mealworms in a dish. I feed the Crickets first and after a while I put some mealworms (10 or so) in a dish.

I also give her some of the Phoneix Worms.

And I have fed her a couple of Wax Worms and small Goliath Worms.
