Mealworms Eating Too Much Or Too Little?

Im starting a mealworm farm of 1000. I have had them for the past 3 days and have been feeding them 2 baby carrots (half inch wide x 2 inches long) a day.
When I check on them the carrots have been eaten to a shrivel. Is this how much they can eat daily? Ive read people feed their farms weekly. Do I put more carrots in? Any input is appreciated. Thank you!

Yes. Feeders are like our pet's nutrient carriers. They are only crude fat and crude protein by nature (plus trace nutrients) so a continuous supply of healthy greens and fruits is essential. Supply new ones if they're finished but don't oversupply it to avoid the feeds getting soggy or moldy

Awesome! So as long as I am not overfeeding and letting the food go bad I should be alright. Maybe I will have to add a little more than I usually do so I can supply them for a few more days at a time(less maintenance).
