I found some tiny mealworms at ***** the other day. I haven't been paying much attention to the mealworm shortage because I feed crickets, but I bought them, and one of my geckos was gobbling them up because I haven't fed them in about 4 days....

But, are they safe to feed? I took them out because I wanted to check.

if you know, please reply ASAP because I want to feed them or not before I got to bed in 1/2 hour...

Thanks,

Draba

Mealworms are fine to feed. A lot of people use them as their staple. I feed mealworms and dubia roaches to mine.

Were they in a small can? I saw a pet chain-store selling small cans of crickets and mealworms and I wasn't even sure how that can be. Are they dead in there?

I've yet to find anything that will eat those canned (yes, they are quite dead) bugs.

You are going to want to get ones that are refrigerated, they are alvie, but will warm up quickly, but I have been able to convince my leo of eating canned ones from ******** by dangling them in front of her. Good luck!

They are the referigerated ones, and alive. I just was wondering why the mealworms were dying, and if whatever was harming them was harming the geckos.

But it's a moot point anyways, as I fed the mealies and the geckos are fine :main_yes:
