Mealworms Vs Dubai Roaches

I am wanting to start a feeder colony, what is best for the gecko's health, taste, ease of breeding. Pros and cons would really be appreciated.

Also I was thinking would roaches provide the gecko with a little more of a challenge and interest for meals rather than something that simply wiggles a bit.

Thanks for any information about these comparisons.

I use both i use lobster roaches and mealies and dubai roaches. Its really your choice roaches breed insanely fast under the right heat and meal worms arnt to hard to breed they just take a bit longer.

I use both dubia and mealworms. My geckos enjoy chasing down the roaches.
I find that the dubia roaches are easy to breed. I just put them in my garage where it is 85-90 most of the time. I have them in large tub with egg crate, water crystals, roach food, dog food, and carrots. I spray it down a couple days a week for humidity so they molt and breed. I feed them to my geckos 2-3 times a week, using the ones that are a little smaller than the geckos head.

As for the mealworms, I just started breeding them, but I have some baby mealworms. They seem to be easy to breed, but seem take a long time to get to feeder size.

I bought my feeder roaches from The Roach Guy.

We use both. I have some geckos that just won't eat mealworms, but I also have some that won't touch a roach. Some of mine eat both.
