i've had my gecko for a few weeks now and have been feeding it crickets, but am about to go buy some mealworms. how many do you usually buy at one time? i want to get enough to last me a week or more, but don't want to get so many that they'll start to die.

thanks for the advice!

i put a few in her food dish a couple hours ago, and she hasn't paid any attention to them whatsoever. this is the time of day she usually eats, so she should be hungry.. is there anything i should be doing to help her notice them, or should i just give it some more time?

if they dont move alot in the dish place the dish over the heat mat and the mealworms like go crazy and it should catch ur geckos eye

I'm also in the same boat as Kilikina: Been feeding my 3 month old gecko crickets up to this point and would like to add mealworms to his diet to give him some variety. I have gutload to feed them but what bedding should I be using in the container?

yes, i the worms had escaped and were hiding under the paper towel. i put them back in the dish, but they kept escaping. i just put them down in front of her, and she just ate them both! so i guess she likes them! she's looking for more right now.

So you didn't even need to take them out of the container? That's cool.

I visited our local reptile store and they have mealworms and superworms with the bedding already in the container, just like Kilikina received. The store owner even said I wouldn't need to put any food in there as everything is already provided. :)
