love the white head.

I tried feeding mine last night. They weren't having it. I emailed to see how they feed, so I can try again. I was hoping to see them eat successful the first go. :-/

That sucks. So far, all of my snakes have eaten on the first try. Now I wonder how long this one will take.:(

I'll keep you updated. I'm hoping next week they'll eat. they were fed the day they were shipped (something that struck me as shipping is hard enough much less while trying to digest), so it's been a week since they've eaten. I figure by next week they'll be pretty hungry and may be more likely to take the F/T.

My female rosy was half frozen half live feeder. I only fed her live the first feeding bc i didn't have any F/T at the time and was waiting on my order to come in. She's taken F/T ever since. The male was only fed live when I had gotten him, but has taken F/t at every meal.

I guess I figured, even if they had been on live, they'd take the F/T pinkie just the same. They're only a month and a half old, so they haven't had too many feedings. Oh well... I do think some breeders start hatchlings on live and if they keep them long enough start to switch over to half and half and then all F/T. At least the breeder of my rosies did that.

Let me know how Stokely feeds when you try her on a F/T. maybe she'll take better than my guys have.

By the way, I can't get over the white head. I don't think I've ever seen an anery with a full white head like that. I so wish they'd sent me her. haha

I'll let you know when she eats. I love her white head, too. I took some other pics that I'll have to post soon.

She's beautiful!
@ Kristi: My KSB was a pain about eating when I first got him too. I didn't want to feed live mainly due to the inconvenience of having to buy them all the time. I had success with this method: Place your KSB in a small deli cup (just big enough to fit her comfortably without giving her too much space) and place the deli cup in a warm, dark spot. After an hour, place a f/t mouse that has been "brained" in the cup with your snake...this sounds gross but it really isn't bad...just take a pin/needle and poke the mouse between the eyes to get some of the head juice out. Leave overnight...hopefully by morning, the mouse will be gone. Good luck!
