Making hides

I make both wooden dry and plastic humid with / without feeder stations, but it wasn't me unless you saw them on ebay.
Take care. HJ

I've never seen what you're talking about, but it does sound highly interesting!

Those are awesome!! No wonder I missed the thread, I wasn't a member then ;)

Although to be honest, I really like being able to see through the tupperware so that I can see the geckos, any eggs that are laid, etc.

If you want to cut perfect holes in tupperware, go the hardware store and get a hole saw blade with auger that will fit your cordless drill.

Tools are rather expensive, I am 23 and do not have a cordless drill on hand.. My fiance isn't the biggest fan of tools, so he doesn't have much of a collection either. I used to work in a metal shop and could have borrowed their tools, but that was a long long time ago ;)

Hey Jess, You or Mike can come on down and use my cordless DeWalt drill or any of my other tools anytime. Might be a bit too much of a drive but I am only about 15 minutes from a great Bass/trout lake ;)

While we are building things

You got me in the mood, so here are some ideas for your gecko building pleasures. I'll try to describe what some of the following photos have in them and if you are interested.........you can make it too. If I can do it anyone can.
You will see carpet on the humid hide tops...easier for climbing up, good to keep them working out instead of ground entry, claws keep fit just as a cat wants to
do.
You will see a tunnel looking thing beside a hide. Its decorated PVC pipe from the hardware store. It not only is a place they enjoy resting in but they also use it to help them shed. They will go inside it and turn a circle, rubbing their sides on it. It works. There are walkways ( I cut 2"x2" strips from a 12"x12" tile making 2" x 12" walkways.) You can put them many places
as from the hides to areas like the built up watering hole. Piece of slate raised allows them to be lazy and rest, while filling up their tank with water.
There is a store made water fall that I picked up at a yard sale (didn't make it and couldn't afford to for the price)
May be other stuff but
I don't want to forget N.C. ( the cat) ......If you notice, although its on the blurry side, a cat..a gecko...bowl of cat food. The female gecko comes out to watch the cat eat from the food bowl. In return the male cat will lay there at night and watch her eat wax worms. Now...How strange is that gecko lovers?. ..........take
care. HJ
