If you're certain the gecko isn't an enigma there could be some damage from being exposed to high temps(being left in a car could do this). Either damage to the nervous system itself or even to the eyes, giving vision problems. If the gecko is eating and doing fine it's probably nothing serious but since you don't know his whole history there's a whole host of problems or previous diseases that could have given him this "handicap."
I might just add to Ted's post to say IMO in
researching for answers for damaged geckos.
I feel things as incubator flux, and variation
in surrounding room temps. can cause a degree
of enigma appearing problems.
( in many or possibly any morph.)
As if you would compare to say factors
causing cerebral palsy in humans.
Affecting movement, eyes, and other
areas.
