Some of you might remember reading the post about my car being side swiped last year. I never mentioned the good news. I got my $500 deductable back because we found the bitch who hit me. I didn't get my money until late summer and this happened Dec 6th last year.

Weeeeeell...last night I got my haircut at my aunts. My sister and I left to go get Val later when we were done. When we got in the car some douchebags stopped in the middle of the road and was looking at us and the car. We were just like WTF and drove off. Well, I get close to Val's house off of the country-ish roads and on to some roads with more light...I noticed my mirror was bent back. Well fuck, right it away it all clicked. I knew the fuckbags were the ones who hit me...who stops in the middle of the road to stare. The best part was, I was on the phone with Val. When they saw that we were in the car and I was on the phone they sped off immediately. I didn't think anything of it at the time since I didn't notice my car then, but I think I spooked them. Anyways, sure enough when I get to Val's...my mirror is bend back and scraped, theres some scrapes on the doors elsewhere and a fucking fist sized dent in the door.

So hooray almost a year later...2 days off...some fuckbag hits my car and runs...again. Well, the good thing is, my aunt talked to her neighbors and they know who owns the truck. That's the good thing here, and I can ID everything. So hopefully we can find out where they might be and snag the license plate. Then I'm calling the cops and hoping for the best again.

That really sucks. It seems like everyone is really in the holiday spirit this year. We almost got hit numerous times today. Everyone's in a rush and driving like jerks. I hope you get compensation for the damage, good luck!

That sucks, Ryan. I hope the bastards are cited for leaving the scene of an accident in addition to causing the damage.

Some silly twit almost ran into my rear bumper today because she was a) putting on eye makeup b) smoking a cigarette and c) talking on her cellphone while driving.

I was in a REALLY pissy mood today and we're both lucky she didn't hit me.

My brother was t-boned last night because some shithead blew through a red light doing 30+ in a 25 on 4" of snow. The other guy (who said he didn't have insurance) totaled his '93 VW Golf and it's too soon to tell what'll come of my brother's Jeep Grand Cherokee that only has ~20,000 miles on it. Just knowing that my brother has a worse back/neck than mine and is already in agony has me mad enough that I want to fly home to WI to kill someone. ...slowly.

Thanks guys. It does seem like the time of year. People tend to engage their douchebag driving mode now, or DDM as I like to call it.

Paul I hope your brother is okay, and he gave that guy a swift kick to the balls...ugh.

Here's a quick shot of my car. It's not really bad, but I'd prefer my car to be dent free and it's the fact of the matter.

I would be downright livid if someone did that to one of my cars and ran away.

The dent looks sharp enough that they probably won't be able to pop it out, and filling that big of an indentation doesn't work out so great. Hopefully you'll just get a new door out of the deal, which will cost him an arm and a leg and probably take three days once they get the part in.

Yucky.

It is yucky looking at it in a still photo.

I'm trying to decide what to do. We know who owns the truck but we don't know their name or where they live if that makes sense haha. Apparently its a friend of a kid who lives a street over from my aunt. I'm trying to decide if I should wait on my aunt to find em and get the plate...or if I should just call the cops out there, have them go to the friends house to get to the kid who owns the truck that way. It was too late to call for a non emergency on Tues. Yesterday I would have severely pissed them off calling since there was hundreds of accidents yesterday with the snow. They're probably still busy now. The biggest kicker though, the Northern Regionals...ugh, there the biggest assholes ever. I got some great help last year, but I'm picturing these guys being huge dicks since its not a big deal and no one was hurt.

What do you think I should do, how long to wait, etc?

I'd call the cops, tell them what happened and at least give them the address where you've seen the truck.

Wait, I take that back.

I'd file an accident with the cops and tell them what you do know about the truck and who it belongs to. If you could get the license plate number that would be a definite bonus because they wouldn't have to work quite so hard.

That's why I quit smoking. One hand for mascara, shoulder for the phone, and one hand on the wheel. Much safer. JK

Ryan, I hope you're able to get the license plate number!
