One of my baby geckos got loose. His bin have been left open slightly after feeding or something, I'm not really sure. This is the first one that's escaped and I didn't find it right away. It's been a couple days. I've checked all the dark/warm spots I could think of- behind/under the fridge, behind/under the stove, behind/under furniture, etc. Since the bottom shelf on my rack is empty, I put hides over the heat tape and a bowl of mealworms near by. I'm hoping that will attract him and I'll be able to catch him. I also hope I find him before the my mom's dog does because I think she'll try to play with him and accidentally hurt/kill him.
The other 2 times I've had escaped geckos, they've come out of hiding before I knew they were gone! One was in the middle of my bedroom, screaming at my mom when she came in to feed everyone when I was gone for the weekend lol
Somebody suggested putting baby powder on the floor to see if he leaves tracks but since I've got 2 dogs I think they'd be leaving more tracks than the gecko. I've been keeping my bedroom door shut hoping I can keep it trapped in here, but the gap might be big enough for it to get under so I've been searching the whole house.
