Missing Leo......

Has anyone ever had their Leo get 'lost' for a few hours??

If so how did you find them again? Any tips would be amazing.

Holy crap! Had it happen once to my teacher. Look in any closed spaces that are dark, warm, and potentially humid.

Look in places like a couch or a dark corner he could curl up in. Dark places would be the best place to look, but be careful if you're moving something big like a couch not to squish him. After you find him if he's covered in dust you should wash him off with warm water. Good luck! :main_thumbsup:

Oh no! Well don't be to alarmed leos can climb! And I bet he did that! I have heard of a story where there leo was lost for months! But they were having a pluming problem and when thay called the plumer he said he saw it!!! If you have any pluming problems, cracks and holes check there! I wish you the best!!!!!!!

I lost my hamster once. I put food in a plastic container and used books as steps. He climbed into the container and couldn't get out. That's how I found him. Maybe you could do something similar but using heat and insects? You could try creating a pitch black warm hide in a corner and see if he goes in it.

Leos can go without food for a while, but I doubt very long without water. Maybe you should put water in shallow dishes around your room?

I found her!!! However I think she may be paralyzed in the rear... Which I am more than willing to clean her up and feed. Her a mealworm mash.

Oh no - so sorry to hear. I would take her to a vet ASAP. She may not be able to digest or excrete waste properly if she's paralyzed. If its caught early the vet might just be able to help her or help you decide what would be most humane to do :/

So far she seems to be able to move her right leg but not the left. She was on a warm heating pad last night/this morning. That seemed to help, we will just have to see what happens.
