moist hide substrate?

ive switched from peat moss to vermiculite, and am much happier with the vermiculite.

but, i was cleaning the cage and saw what looked like vermiculite in the gecko poop.

if the substrate used in the moist hide sticks to their skin when they shed then they must ingest it when they eat their skin.

any one had problems with vermiculite impaction?

I'd stick to the moss but i personally use moist paper towels as there is no risk...

yea i use paper towels too. i tried the peat moss and vermiculite. but she wouldn't even go near the stuff!!

I use paper towel for hatchlings and coconut fiber for adults.

I've tried all three, the one that i think is the best and that i use is eco-earth. You can get it at petco or petsmart. Hope this helps.
