MOIST HIDE???

oops wrong section but anyways I have a plastic homemade clear moist hide made from a plastic container, would it be safe to cover the outside of it with black ductape so it would be darker and make my gecko more comfortable?

I always just make the moist hide substrate go up the walls. I use moist paper towels.

If you dont mind spending the 20+$$, you could get a ZooMed Repti Shelter.

I wouldnt use tape. If you really wanted to you could painted with a good safe paint and then let it dry and your good to go.

Yeah, tape is just going to peel and get all funky.

Before I discovered repti-shelters, I used black plastic food service containers from our local Chinese carry out.
Just cut a hole in the top lid, worked great.
