moist hide

I have moss in my moist hide and i was wondering how i was supposed to know when to change it?

I hardly ever change mine, usually if I notice it drying out faster then usual. But if the gecko isn't pooping on it, then it doesn't get that dirty.

It usually gets a "funky" smell, I wish I could explain it better than that!

I change the moss when it changes color.

I normally change my moss once a month when i do my huge cleaning day. i do check everyday the quality and i make sure that i toss the moss around in the hide as to make sure that it looks ok even at the bottom.
