This has probobaly been asked 5000000 times but what type of substrate do you use for your Moist hide? I use Eco Earth but feel it dries out too quickly, I was thinking of moving to a moss? Whats your input! :p

i use sphagnum. and since the holes in my moist kide lids are smaller-ish, it can last for 3 days to a week depending on the depth of the moss in my experience. :)

I use paper towel for the hatchlings and I mist it every day when I feed them. I use coco fiber for the adults which doubles as a lay box. I add water every week or so (I use gladware plastic containers and cut the hole in the top). I don't like moss because I worry about them pooping in it and bacteria/mold growing in it, though I'm not so sure about that as to say that no one should use it.

I use zoo med sphagnum moss. My Leo always poops in the corner of the tank (sometimes she manages to poop inbetween the glass and tile :main_huh:). It says you can rinse it out in fresh water and reuse it a few times.
