My 12 year old daughter joined track for the first time this year (7th grade). She really seems to like it and now her 4 x 400 team made it to the state finals this weekend! I just had to brag a little.

The quarter used to be my race too. 25 years after graduating, our 4x400m team still holds the high school record with a 3:23 combined time. I ran the "anchor" leg, which is the one that gets to "break the tape". We got "spanked" at state though. :main_no:

The girls did really well, especially considering how hot it was (I got a nice sunburn:main_rolleyes. They placed 13th out of 43! One of Madison's teammates set a new 7th grade girls record for pole vault on Friday! They had a pretty good weekend!

I forgot to tell you how the team did. They placed 15th out of just over 60 teams!
