Hey so after reading a couple things about these worms and a post one here stating some of your guys leos eat Morrio Worms i decided i would give it a try in the hopes they would last longer.( I have problems getting good meal worms and i find they turn way too quick and i waste most of the tub)

I went to Pets at Home today to try to get some. thing is they ended up talking me out of it saying they were no good for leos because of size and the fat content makes it harder for them to digest it ? But everything i have read says they would be easier to digest than the meal worms ? I am so confused right now and i didn't want to question her as she was so nice about it not rude at all and obv beleived what she was saying.

So Morrio Worms yes or no ?

Thanks.

haha thats pets at home for you.
Morio worms are fine, all my leo's seem to love them.
They can digest them fine, though they are even easier to digest when the worm has recently shed. You probably know by now, but they are also called Super Worms at some places.
Loads of people on here use Morio's.

Ok thanks. I just wanted to make sure i was good to go with them. Will have to buy online now as i think it would be pretty rude to show back up in store saying 'yea i heard what you said but im gonna do it anyways' and like i said i liked the girl and kinda felt sorry for her. She was getting her info from the reptile expert in that store.

Yea i spent a couple of days going round in circles before i got that super worms and morio worms are the same. Got there in the end though :D

haha yeah pets at home always say silly things like that leopard geckos need a UV light or they will get serious health problems and when you tell them that they don't need them they look at you like youre an idiot. :D pets shops in the UK gave me loads of wrong advice soo i just asked everyone on here :) best thing to do =]

Honestly I would go back armed with the RIGHT info for the girl at pets at home and not feel a bit bad about getting the worms there despite hir misinformation regardless of how nice she was she was still wrong. You could look at this like an opportunity to help some one expand their herp knowledge. Many petstores often give inaccurate info. Even mine here told me that supers would eat a hole in my leos stomach... bunch of bull.

Just an fyi for you tho here is a good nutritional chart on the values each feeder has to offer:

After all the more info you have the better equipped you are to make an educated decision for yourself and rely less on the inaccurate knowledge of what has been spoonfed to others.
