Hi,
This is my first post. I've been reading this forum for about a month trying to learn about all the different morphs. I was going to a reptile show this weekend to pick up my first leo morphs. Well I found an ad on craigslist for 10 free geckos of different morphs. I picked them up yesterday and love them. I think I know what the different morphs are but would like opinions from you guys :). I'll number them and put what I think they are if I'm wrong please let me know.

one other question...are hypos and super hypos always tangerine or are they two separate things? Thanks for any and all feedback.

Hypo is a co-dominant trait, tangerine is a line bred trait. They're usually connected but not always. those with little or no tang in them look pretty yellow. Your morph guesses look pretty right. I would assume your albinos are Trempers but a good close up eye shot could tell for sure. The #9 gecko looks like a Murphy's patternless that could be albino but you'd need a good eye shot to tell.

The normal in #3 is my favorite! She's gorgeous!! Hope you enjoy them!

Here's my take:
1. I think it would be stretching it to call that a carrot tail. Usual standard (not that there are really any standards) is at least 30% carrot tail with no markings in the orange.
2,3,8. That sounds right to me
4,5. To my inexperienced eye (I'm most familiar with Trempers) they look like Bells
6,7,10. Same comment about the carrot tail. Some people may say that the single spot on #6 makes it a "hypo" rather than a super hypo, but I'd consider it a superhypo with a paradox spot.
9. Not sure about this one but it's your nicest one. I don't work with patternless but it's possible. Check for red veining in the eyes to determine if it's albino.
11. I would call that a high yellow with nice bold markings.

The tangerine aspect to hypo/superhypo is interesting to me. Few people would ever call a gecko a "superhypo yellow". I believe (but I may be wrong) that the first hypo/superhypos were tangs. Suffice it to say that these days people call geckos "tangerine" that range from blazing red-orange to washed out yellow with a hint of peach. It's in the eye of the beholder, I guess.
