I asked for help with an ID on this little one on another thread, but I think it's inconclusive still so I decided to post a new thread here.

The guy I got her from told me she is an APTOR, however I was told on the other thread that they think she's not an APTOR because APTOR's are albino.. but then I read that it's the RAPTOR's that are albino, not the APTOR's. Then I found something called an Eclipse that looks a lot like her, so I was referring to her as an Eclipse (which I believe was agreed to on the other thread), however I just read an exact definition of an Eclipse and apparently they're APTOR's with jet-black eyes, which she doesn't have; she has marbled eyes... so now I'm super confused again.

Please help!

Also, keep in mind that she's a teeny bit dim in these pics. She shed about 5 days later. I'll get some new pics of her soon :).

looks like an eclipse to me as well. a leopard gecko does not have to be albino to be eclipse.

APTOR stands for Albino Patternless-stripe Tremper ORange so yes, APTORs are albinos

RAPTOR is the eclipse version of an APTOR. means Ruby-eyed (or Red-eyed) Albino Patternless-stripe Tremper ORange

Thanks for the compliments; we're pretty happy with her :)

So this one is a snake-eyed Eclipse (Meaning she's a Snake-Eyed, Ruby-Eyed Albino Patternless-Stripe Tremper Orange)? I thought it was a marble-eyed, but I guess I could be misunderstanding the difference between marble-eyed and snake-eyed. Also... are her eyes ruby? I'm a corn snake and ASF rat breeder, so when I hear albino or ruby-eyed, I think of variations of bright red/pink. Her eyes are definitely black and gray, not any shade of red or pink.

I'll have to take some new pics, as she did recently shed. Her body color is pretty much the same (brown spots, yellow background) but she's more vibrant and healthy looking. She definitely wanted that skin gone and shed like a champ once it started coming off. After she devoured the whole thing and within a day or so she was eating very healthily. I was concerned for a bit, but she's pretty happy to hunt some crickets and eat her mealworms. I can't wait for our orders to arrive! I need to supply her with her vitamins/calcium and refill her mealworm bowl; it's empty.

If I'm understanding correctly, they can go a couple days without a constant supply of food, right? She still has some small crickets to hunt down in her cage, but that's all we have until the order arrives sometime at the beginning of next week. If it's a problem though, then we can go to PetCo and get her some mealworms in the morning.

Okay, I just read this on the wiki:

Tremper Eclipse

The Tremper Eclipse trait randomly popped up in 2004 when Ron Tremper was producing the APTORs. The Tremper Eclipse eye is solid black in the non albino variations and red to a ruby red in the albino versions, as seen on the right. From the Tremper Eclipse, Snake Eyes.

I think I'm following better now. Gosh, leo morphs are so much more confusing than corn snakes, lol! :)

They are all separate traits, combined.

1)Eclipse Eye (ruby or black, as explained above). Incomplete eclipse eyes are called "snake-eyed".
2)Patternless Stripe (which is really a stripe crossbred with a reverse stripe to "cancel" each other out
3)Tremper Albino
4) Orange linebred tangerine influence.

To have a RAPTOR, it must have ALL of the traits.

Your gecko looks to have patternless stripe influence, nice tang color, and eclipse snake-eyes.
What it does not have is the Tremper albino, although it is likely a possible het. (carrying the genes for the Tremper albino). But there isn't any way to tell if it's carrying albino genes just by looking at it.

That makes her a very pretty Eclipse. :D

Does that help any?

Eclipse. Which was also the conclusion in the other thread.

the "A" in A.P.T.O.R and R.A.P.T.O.R stands for Albino. Albino does the same thing in snake and lizard eyes. Red. Black eyes cannot be albino.

Would love to see some new pics! Shes a good looking lizard. I like her stripey(ish) spots heh.

Yup Im going with a eclipse. The eclipse trait is to in no way be confused with the Marbled eye trait, they are totally different recessive eye mutations.
