Hi all. I have this beautiful dark gecko of which we are not really sure what exactly she is. I have bred her to both Murphy Patternless as well as Blizzard males but the only results we get are normal or Jungles. Any idea what she may be or am I pulling the shortest straw in the odds department?

I guess she could be a kind of low grade superhypo baldy. I can see why you'd test breed with the patternless and the blizzard, though.

If you're 100% sure the males you bred her with were MP and Blizzard and you bred her to them in separate seasons (so she wasn't using retained sperm of one or the other) then she cannot be either of those two and I would think Aliza's suggestion of a low-grade SHT is what she is. Their color can be affected a lot by stress, breeding, improper temperatures and a lack of vitamins. I would triple check your husbandry and try not to handle or stress her too much and see if her color perks up and gives you a better idea.

Thanks for the replies :) she is kept in her rack like all the other geckos. She has been this color since she was a baby. Will have to breed her to somerhing to make more of her to prove what exactly she is.
