This is my wife's petstore Leo and she is wanting to know more about him. He is a very independant and strong-willed Leo..lol He absolutely hates being handled... I would certainly hate to be this jerk's roommate.. :0

Wow that is one dark colored leo.. I can't even tell if it is a mack snow or not! I'd like to say maybe since the head seems to be a dark white however but don't take my word for it as I've never seen one quite that dark nor am I an expert.
Such a lovely little guy your wife has by the way.

Thanks for the replies so far... Yeah he is a bit of a mystery to me. I just can't quite tell what he is..lol I just know he has always been dark, grows fast, and "feels" as heavy/strong as the lock-ness monster. My Leos are "smooth" and "pushy" in their movements (even when squirming).....with him it feels like you are wrestling an aligator...and losing...

We bought him in late November (about 4 months ago), so I estimate him to be about 5 months old. Last night he weighed in at 38.1grams. :O

btw, in the 2 pictures marked "today" his color was a tiny bit dull/dry for shedding, but the top 2 pictures show more natural color.

Unfortunately for us, I don't plan to test breed him. We are just looking for any info. :)

I'm still gawking at this pic from last night. For 38g and about 5 months old, his head is as wide (or wider) as my thumb...and that's almost an inchwide because I have big hands...lol!! His overall size and strength is amazing..

I'm still hoping for a definitive answer as to what he is... :) Here are some updated photos I took the other day. He is definitely "yellowing-up." The yellow is especially noticable in the pic with the flash turned on.

I honestly can't even remember which website I was reading that made me consider the "mack snow" possibilities....lol (I spend so much time keeping up with my raptors that I haven't had time to review other morphs lately...remember I am a first year noobie).

Unfortunately, I still don't plan to test breed him...I think he is way too agressive anyway.. :O I am just wanting to read someone's visual observations of him and study the "morphy identifying steps"....then maybe I will understand what he "might be" after I understand "what he isn't." ......if that makes any sense?? :)

I remember that something I read (in the maaannny pages about morphs that I have read) made me consider "mack snow", but now I can't remember and can't find it. :(
