Morph Question

So, I'm new to geckos. I have two that I purchased about a month ago. Since I bought them from PetCo (I know - I know; should have purchased from a breeder) I have no idea how old they are. But I also don't know what morph they are. Could someone tell me what I have? And is there any way to determine their approximate age? Gecko-1 weighs about 25 grams and Gecko-2 weighs about 20 grams.

The first one appears to be a tangerine, and the second a hypo-tangerine. They both look very dry and about to shed, but fortunately they have nice fat reserves developing in their tails.

i agree with Marica; the first looks like a tangerine or high yellow normal, and then second is definitely a hypo tang. From what I've heard Petco got a huge deal on Hypo Tangs and they were dispersed all over.. They were selling for 20-25 dollars.. Good choices.. both look healthy.

Pics are hard to tell ages. But I'd say they are both around two months old.

Welcome :)

They are very sweet, but i hope that you have a humid-hide for them - they look very dry and a moist hide really is essential for good sheds!

Those pics were taken a few days after I got them. I've had them a little over a month. I do have a moist hide. And I know they have gone through at least one shed. Shortly after I got them their weights were 20 and 16 grams. Now they are 25 and 20.

In the beginning the hypo tang didn't seem to be eating so I separated them for a few days to make sure she was eating. Then I put them back together. They both have healthy appetites. They eat crickets and meal worms on a regular basis; and I've just recently started giving them wax worms occasionally as a treat.

My grandson named the tangerine Boomerang and the hypo tang Cheyenne. Everyone but my husband really enjoys the leos. My husband just doesn't like any reptiles. And I don't think I'll ever get him to come around and hold them. At least he lets me enjoy them.

I agree, tang and hypo. I asked were petco got there reptiles. The one near me goes through gourmet rodent. I bought a 25 gram shtcb With a 50% carrot tail. Ive had him 3 months he is now 38 grams and doing great. I will say mine had 2 parasites upon second fecal exam, so be sure to have those checked. And also mine colored up alot ALOT after a few sheds, and propper care.
