Hey everybody,
I picked up these 2 babies from a Reptile specialty place in my local area and was told one was a normal morph while the other is a tangerine. Any thoughts? Thanks

PS I tried to put calcisand ONLY in between the tiles so they wouldn't shift but am finding that some grains are finding their way to the surface. Any ideas on how to eliminate the gaps without using sand?

Looks correct to me. I don't see much tangerine on either of them though. I'd guess the second pic is the tangerine? See how it looks after a couple of months for a better guess.

And to eliminate the cracks, just use regular washed and sifted play sand... no calcium in it for them to lick at.

Yea from what I read it would be hard to tell what they are if their parents are unknowns. I asked the so called reptile specialist and he said that the breeder comes in with a whole lot of them and that it's difficult to keep track of what they are/what their parents. The first guy was labelled a Tangerine and was housed with another same sized "hypo tangerine with white stripe". The 2nd little guy was housed with a bunch of fellows looking exactly like him.

I can't wait to see the exciting changes with each shed. :)

Until you can tell the sex I wouldnt house them together.
I agree with others, they both look like normals to me.

Currently I have them both housed in a 40 gallon 36x18x16 sectioned a little more than halfway. I actually have been thinking about separating them but if I do, I'd then would like to keep them housed apart permanently. If I divided my tank down the middle and got a second UTH making each side 18x18x16, would that be enough space for a fully grown adult. I'd like to be generous with their living spaces as much as possible.

Yep I've since gotten them separated and got a second UTH. Now I'm closely monitoring the temps until the other thermostat comes shipped.

They've both gone through sheds; 1 a complete success while the other seems to have a red toe. I couldn't get close enough to see if the claw is still there but there is no shed stuck to it while leads me to believe it may have got it stuck in something?

Cute little guys. I love normals and would love to have some. I can't seem to be able to find them nowadays though.
