Morph?

I am new to the world of geckos and have just started to look at the different 'types' you can get.

Spike was brought from our local pet store and we were given no information about him other than he is a Leopard Gecko. If anyone can tell me anything by these picture I would be grateful. Thank you.

We've had Spike just over 3 weeks now :D.

Looks like an aberrant to me. It's a polygenic trait that affects pattern. You can easily tell as babies if the back pattern isnt banded but the tail is, but once they get the adult spots it can be more difficult. Yours retained the cool pattern really well! Such a cutie

I think I should clarify my explanation. Many people don't consider abberant a 'true morph.' In breeding, if paired to a normal you'll get normals, with varying patterns. Some normal bands, some abberant.

Also to elaborate on the adult pattern, here's one of my adult abbys
