Moss or No ?

Some geckos have been known to eat the moss. I use coco fiber in some enclosures and in others I use damp paper towel. I assume you mean what to put in a humid hide as opposed to loose in the cage and I"m also assuming you mean a leopard gecko. If you mean another type of gecko, let us know.

When I was keeping fat tails, I had them on coco fiber and I would mist them daily. I don't think you'd want moss to be the primary substrate, and it is possible they would eat some of it, but I don't think there's a problem in having a little in there.
