I recently moved mine, though a shorter distance. If your tub can take heat you could always set the tub up on heat before setting up the tank.

My dragon had to go on a road trip a little bit ago, while not feeling good, and she just slept the whole time. Hopefully your leo does the same.

The weather is good right now, the heat wave is over, and there is little reason for concerns. I travel 7+ hours with a hundred geckos several times a year to a reptile show in another state. As long as you keep your deli cup in room temperature (and almost all cars have air-conditioning nowadays) and out of direct sunlight, it should be fine! If you have a big styrofoam box, you can set the deli cup with your gecko in it for insulation. It will also be nice dark for your animal then. You don't need to feed during that time, either. I would just provide a slightly moist paper towel on the bottom of its cup.

Good luck with your move! :main_thumbsup:

just picked up some nice tile and play sand too put under the tiles will have pics up 2morow wen finished woop woop.

Personally I wouldn't use sand under the tile. The reason being that over time you could run into impaction issues. Instead I would just line your tank with paper towels and lay the tile on that. Then change towels during monthly cleaning of the tank. JMO

okie dokie will do that then, i was just reading that alot off people do that too spread the heat from the uth but if theres still a chance off impaction ill just go with that.

You only want your UTH to heat 1 side of the tank. Spreading the heat shouldn't be necessary. The sand would probably add an insulator making it harder to heat the tile.

alright cool, tbh this is gona be the second time im using the uth the first time i put it under the tank too replace his night time heat and i dont think he liked it that much so i went and got another nighttime heat lamp so now with the tile i think too help heat the tile ill use the uth along with the night time heat lamp, ive had him for a while now and no problems but too prevent any problems in the future like dehidration ill put the uth in the middle so that he can choose between basking and comfortable surface heat.
