We just sold our house yesterday :(. I have lived up here in NE ohio for my whole life but i guess i can give it a shot. We are moving near the charlston area. I here it is nice down there. Kinda good cause i am sick of the snow here in the winter. Well anyway, anyone know how i could bring my fish down there? I have a 90 gallon tank with about 18 fish. Its about a 12 hour drive.

Good luck with the move. I know how difficult it can be. When I was 15 I moved from PA to AR. Just keep an open mind and a positive attitude about it.

You could bag the fish up and put some Bag Buddies in each bag. Basically it adds some oxygen for them. I don't know a lot about fish, but the Bag Buddies are something we sell where I work a lot when people move and need to transport fish long distances.

When we moved from Texas to Arizona we brought about 25 fish. What we did was get 5 gallon buckets from home depot and drilled a single hole in the lids. Then we ran tubing through the hole and attached an air stone to one end. Then we plugged the air pumps into a converter that plugged into the cigarette lighter. That way they had plenty of air for the 15 hour ride. We didn't loose a single one! Plus if you stay in a hotel you can just plug them in at the hotel, which we also did. Good luck on your move!

Hey, Ben! I was just thinking about you as my hatchlings have started to hatch.... and I came across this post!

So your joining us (me, Chris & Dale) here in SC?? We're on the West side. I love SC ... grew up in the Northeast and had my fill of snow. It's nice here, we get all the season, yet mild temps and at least you get the OCEAN too!! Charleston is great, I like to visit there. Keep us posted on how you're settling in!

Charleston's where my dad used to live. From what I recall it's very nice there. It gets really hot there during the summer, but it's a dry heat so it's not as bad as say, Virginia.
