I am buying a MS het RAPTOR male and I have two Hypo het RAPTOR females that I will breed him with. I should get 6.25 percent RAPTORs from the pairing right? What are the outcomes. I've tried using the genetics wizard, and I can't get the hang of it. Also, what are the chances that I get Hypo MS RAPTORs eventually? Can someone help me out? Thanks in advance.

If we say that your Geckos are MS het Eclipse / Albino / Pattystripe and the nonMS version are than you would get his:
0.78125% WT
1.5625% Het. Pattystripe,
0.78125% Homozygous Pattystripe,
1.5625% Het. Eclipse,
3.125% Het. Eclipse, Het. Pattystripe,
1.5625% Het. Eclipse, Homozygous Pattystripe,

1.5625% Het. Mack Snow, Homozygous Albino, Homozygous Eclipse, Het. Pattystripe,
0.78125% Het. Mack Snow, Homozygous Albino, Homozygous Eclipse, Homozygous Pattystripe,

het Mack Snow means Mack Snow and a Raptor is a homozygous Albino Eclipse Pattystripe.
Hope I could help you.

EDIT: I´´m a bit unsure for the Pattystripe as I was told it is a combo of 2 stripe genes that are acting like rezessive(for some reason).

The Raptor is a Combo morph.
if you only look at the Eclipse and the Albino(which will bean Red eyed Albino) you have 2 Gecko double hets. Thats like doing a normal het Albino and Blizzard pairing. You would get a BB ouzt of 16.

Problem with the hets:
to be het for Raptor your Gecko must be het for Eclipse, Albino and Pattystripe.
a normal het*het pairing brings you 1 homozygous, 2 hets and 1 nonhet so as you won´´t be ablte to say what the nonhet is all 3 will be 66% hets.

On the Raptor you need to look at the 66% thing for 3 different mutations.
hard to explain *G*.
Let´s say, to have a het Tremper Albino out of that pairing won´´t guarantee that you also will have an animal that is het for the 2 other traits. THats the Problem with the Combo morphs.

I will axpain on a dh. If you breed normal het BB* normal het BB you will have 1 BB out of 16 CB.
Look:
6.25% WT
12.5% Het. Albino,
6.25% Homozygous Albino,
12.5% Het. Blizzard,
25% Het. Blizzard, Het. Albino,
12.5% Het. Blizzard, Homozygous Albino,
6.25% Homozygous Blizzard,
12.5% Homozygous Blizzard, Het. Albino,
6.25% Homozygous Blizzard, Homozygous Albino,
You will have double hets but also fior example albinos that aren´thet for Blizzard.
YOu have a 66% chance to have a gecko het for e mutation(when breeding het*het) but if you hit the 66% for the first mutation, it must not be that you also have hitten the 66% for the other mutation.

It´s not the best way to produce Raptors but at least very cool for havinga wide range of outcomes.

I know it's not the best way to make RAPTORs, but I will get a few (hopefully), but I am really interested in the Hypo MS RAPTOR idea for later on. Thanks for all the advice.

Hahaha... Wowza. I think of breeding het raptors together.. or a raptor to a het raptor like this.. You will get cute geckos that may or may not have black/red eyes.. And their pattern will vary drastically. No gecko that you produce from that pairing will look the same. IMO they are a fun pairing because of that.. And you get Mack Snow Genetics on top of all of that.. Good times. I think you made a great choice on a Male Jared.

Couple of questions....what is the pattystripe that is showing up in the list, and how would I lable the hatchlings? Would they just be possibly het RAPTOR or would it be 66 percent het RAPTOR?

The patty stripe is the following:
A Raptor is an Patternless Eclipse Albino.
The Patty stripe is that patternless thing.
I was told it´´s a combo of stripe and reverse stripe which somehow act like rezessive gen(but not fully tested right?).

As for making it easy I work with it as a rezessive gen. So an normal het Raptor is het for the pattystripe Eclipse and Albino.
it will look like this:
pattystripeemerine.jpg

or at least it should look like this *G*

I knew that the true RAPTOR was eclipse, tremper, and patternless but I didn't know about the patty stripe. So would it just be possibly het RAPTOR for all the hatchlings?
