Yeah that would work.

Personaly I get my bran from pet and feed store localy for 40lbs for 9.99

That bran will work but I would suggest checking for local locations before ordering anything like that online.

oatmeal, wheat germ, chicken scratch and things of that nature.

I use ProGecko gutload. It is a mix of things and my mealies seem to do very well on it.
