Howdy,

A while ago I swear I stumbled upon someone on here stating they were selectively breeding Murphy Patternless with some kind of super hypo or tangerine of some sort to increase the color. I was unable to relocate that thread. If anyone can help me with a link to that thread I would be very thankful.

Or if anyone is doing such a breeding project how is it going and what all do you have involved in the mix.

Thanks all,

Morgan

The only one that I know of working with the Murphy's Patternless in that degree would be Marcia of Golden Gate Geckos. She might be able to answer some of your questions and would probably be one of the best to ask. I am not sure if there are others or who they may be.

I have been selectively breeding Murphy Patternless for intense color and carrot-tail, but mine do not have any tangerine carrot-tail influence in them... they are pure pattys. Kelli posted a photo of a GGG Murphy patternless x electric tangerine baby she recently produced that looks like it will have some real promise. Here are some of my pattys:

The above gecko is a 100% PURE Murphy Patternless. As I stated in my earlier post, I have been working with them for many years and have selectively bred them for their outstanding yellow body coloration and amount of bright orange in their tails. There is no other genetic morph influence in my Pattys.

Dennis, the young ones do have a pattern that fades as they develop. When they are born, they have a "mottled" pattern kinda like a giraffe, lol. Here is a pic of a little one right out of the egg:
