that was the first time reading that exact one, but i have read about 20 others - most of them didn't mention the heat mat and instead suggested the light. however i got a heat pad anyway because i went on youtube looking for leopard gecko setups to get a better idea of how they should look and almost everyone had a heat mat and a light.

but thanks for the link there was a lot of helpful info for me in there!
