Man I'm still trying to catch my breath. :D I let my baby gecko out and she, or he was on the couch. I'm thinking cool. All of a sudden she or he jumps onto the floor and goes under the couch. My fingers can't reach back that far and I can't see anything. I move the couch all the way out. I don't see, so I move the other end of the couch out. This is a long huge couch. I grab Gecko with hands and she jumps and then runs over to where the cage is but I was able to get my gecko after about 5 times from jumping from my hands to the floor. My gecko is back in the cage but damn she moved quick. I think I will keep my gecko in a box next time I let him or her out of the cage. That was insane. She is fine hiding in her sweat box. Almost gave me a heart attack.

Yeah. Good that you caught her. Baby geckos are fast and hard to catch.

I remembered when one of my cousins were over. A baby got away. And we couldn't find it anywhere, so after a while, we sat on the floor. Next thing we knew, the gecko crawled from under my cousin's butt. I think he sat on it. It was okay, but it was easy to pick up. I think because he was trying to live, getting from under that heavy butt and he struggled to get out.

Very fast gecko

The weird part was my gecko kept jumping out of my hands onto the floor and landed upside down a few times, then took off, fast as a dart. I thought dude your going to hurt yourself but he or she looks just fine and is roaming around the cage.

Say there is nothing like a baby gecko coming out of your butt. :main_laugh:
Maybe the big butt kept him warm. :D

LOL, yeah they are very fast and get really crazy when they are little! Sometimes I'll just be holding a little one and it'll jump right out of my hands, over and over again.. crazy little buggers :main_laugh:

I am glad that you caught him/her, I am sure it was very stressful during the time it was happening!!

Yea because under the couch is some dog food, paper and dog hair. I don't want my baby gecko eating that. I know it needs to be cleaned under the couch. I just don't want my gecko licking the dog food, or eating a clump of dog hair. I got my Gecko very quick because of this.

Funniest story I have is when I had 3 geckos all cage mates got out in my reptile room. Next thing i know they were walking in single file order out of the reptile room and stopped beside where I put my shipment of crickets. I saw it out of the cornor of my eye and I was like, WTF?
Was pretty funny to see.

My young hypo snow jumped out of my hands a few days ago and went under the bed. There are a few things under there, but thankfully I had someone there to help me catch her. She's still a bit cranky towards me though. She hisses and snaps at me often. I'm letting her have her space now.
