Today my boyfriend and I tried to get somewhat professional pics of our geckos and failed miserably :D I thought I'd share the result and introduce all of them to the public.

This is my first one, la Gecka, my pretty normal from Spanish breeders called Geckonicos.

This one is Yago, from TUG. He's not of their best ones but even so, we killed his beautiful color with the light we were using :main_thumbsdown:

This is Godot, an enigma het Bell from JMG. She's a female but we named her thinking she was a male and we are now used to it (we just call her "Godotita", that it's the diminutive and feminine for "Godot" in Spanish. I know I know it sounds horrible).

She's the sweetest gecko I've ever seen. Look at this video I made: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eP6gtHawTUQ :D

We got tired of that ugly light and just used the room's light and the flash of the camera. The colors of the geckos are better represented but the background looks worse. I have to get one of those fancy tiles...
This one is Koi. She's a Bell/Red eyed enigma female from JMG.

Pascuala, a plain Bell albino female from JMG too (but don't tell her that I said she's plain, you're not supposed to play favourites with your kids :p )

Rogelio, trying to look cool. A Bell albino male from JMG.

Tequila is a Bell albino female from JMG too. She wasn't feeling like letting us get her pic taken...

But once in my arms she cooled down. I think she's lovely :smitten:

Altogether now!

Those are beautiful Geckos, and a great set-up. Did you make those yourself?

I love the set-up (and the geckos too!)! Sometimes I wish we could have everything out in the open where we could see it but our space limits us from doing that.

(I can totally relate to your picture troubles. We're always experimenting trying to get SOMETHING to work, haha.)

I am sure it is a plus to be able to see your geckos all the time.
Yeah, I love to come into the gecko room anytime and see them all lurking around. I'm glad I opted for wooden cages with crystal doors, even if it's more expensive and takes more room that plastic tubes.

Did you make those yourself?
Yup! :D

Lol! I must make a light box and get a tile... I think that will solve my two big problems. But I'm too shy to get into a shop and say "Umh... Do you have any defective tiles to give me?"

Thanks everyone for the compliments! :smitten:

Very nice geckos, and i like the setup, how do you get the temps right in a set up like that?

Nice geckos and very cool set-up! Didn't you post that on here when you built it?

Yes I did, in this thread: http://www.geckoforums.net/showthread.php?t=13552 (and I've just seen the last three comments, for some reason I miss most of the time the last posts people make in my threads  I may make the plans and post them there when I have some free time). It was emptier back then :p

I measure the temps only in one tank and, since the set up is similar, I take for granted that the temps won't vary too much from one tank to another. All the heat cables are connected to one thermostat. There are cheap thermometers in both sides of each cage, that are very unaccurate but let me know when the temps are too high or too low, when I see something strange I measure the temps with a digital thermometer with laser probe to know the exact temps.

There is a light difference in temperature from the upper floor to the lower, but since these animals are so hardy, this method works for me. If it was a more delicate species, probably it would be better to heat and control each tank individually.

And now pics of Ciruela (means 'Plum'). I can't believe I forgot to post her pics  It's not like I have so many geckos that I can't remember them all! I'm a bad gecko mom. She is a Mack snow Bell from JMG too.

Yay for my camera that focuses backsides instead of faces :)
