Actually gave me an idea of what I'm going to use when mine start to breed. I'm just starting my own colony today, just 3 plastic shoe boxes for now lol

yea i started with just two containers and 10k mealworms. Before I knew it i was heading back to walmart to buy alot more containers. I cant believe the containers are so cheap at walmart so it worlds out great for now. There is alot of info of raising them online however only on smaller scales. Alot of the theories I'm afraid wont be to great dealing with a larger volume. So I'm gonna try to get a list of questions over the next few days hopefully we can find the answers :)

Well before you know it you will be adding 00's after that 150. I found this website purely by luck. I was looking for more info on raising mealworms commercially then stumbled across this website. So glad I did for numerous reasons. Not only did I find 20 pages of mealworm breeding posts but opened my eyes to the market for mealworms for reptiles. Also to top it off I'm meeting so many awesome and kind people on here. The idea started when I wanted to raise nightcrawlers for the fishing bait industry. But not having the room I needed to start with I ventured into the mealworms. With the intent of only the fishing bait before I realized for reptiles there is just as if not larger demand. One thing I didn't like when I browsed larger farms and companies you see the more you buy the cheaper they are. Every customer should be treated the same no matter if they need 1k or 100k. I would like to be in the $3-4 per 1k

Well I only have one leo to feed so once I start getting overrun with mealies I plan to use some for fishing and selling of the rest aswell lol. Well if you ever need any help with anything, like setting up a website to sell them from or anything PM me

Charlie.. are you doing this to feed your geckos or to sell the worms?? May I ask how many geckos you have?
I have two colonies of about 50 beetles each and I am overflowing with worms...... it takes a lot of time to transfer them all too. I am in no way critisizing but when I saw your pic I WAS overwhelmed..lol.

I’d like to know how you get all the shedding out of the bedding. I find those extremely annoying.
